Wurk it

Here is what I've been working on at work recently! Each little "tassle" is a bow which was hand-made and sewn by yours truly! All designed by Monique Collignon, of course

Jean Paul Gaultier Exhibition

Be prepared for A LOT of pictures. I never realised how incredibly detailed Jean Paul Gaultier's work was! Everything was beautiful and the exhibition was really nicely set out -  GOOD WORK Kunsthal!

The one very weird thing about the exhibition was that the mannequins had their faces like, projected on? So they blinked and cried and smiled and winked... Once you got used to it they looked pretty cool but it was really scary at first

Gorgeous... And here's the money shot!

Rotterdam

CLOGS!
Rotterdam. In my opinion it is nothing to write home about. It was fine, there were some good bits and some bad bits but essentially it could have been any other city in any other country. Still, here are the best parts!

Cube houses
Transformers statue: COOL

WHAT IS THIS CRAZY STATUE

I think I will do a separate post on the John Paul Gaultier exhibition! Here's a teaser for you: It was good.

Sunday List

All the drama of last weekend with my parents means that I'm 2 weeks behind! But what can you do. This week has been so crazy busy and so long, I feel like a month has passed since they visited!
Crazy face
1. Airport Surprise

Although the rest of the weekend didn't go as planned Dan and I surprised my parents at the airport which was nice. It also meant we had hours to kill at Schiphol, hence stupid pictures like this

2. Bloemen

On Thursday night Dan and I went on a quest to find some flowers that weren't dead. It seemed after Queen's Day it was slim pickings! Eventually we found these amazing rosey things. No idea what they are, but they're beautiful.

3. FOAM Museum

On Thursday it was a Bank Holiday in the Netherlands so Dan and I went out for some culture. I think his face shows our thoughts on this photographer

4. DAN'S FACE

This photo makes me laugh every. time.

5. Dutchy Dutch

How postcardingly perfect is this photo? It makes me remember how lucky I am

Monique Collignon is moving offices this week so it's going to be mad busy but hopefully I'll find the uptime to upload my Rotterdam pictures!

Queen's Day!

Queen's Day is amazing. And also unlike anything else we ever have in England. Literally the whole of the city is partying, every corner has a different DJ or band or party, everyone's dressed up and having fun! It's incredible.

Not to mention that the city becomes a flea market with everyone selling their stuff! We got two chairs, 4 placemats, two cushions, a plate and I got a skirt. And we only spent 3 euros!

Oh, and even the trams dress up for the occasion!

Perfect day, thank you Queen Beatrix!
